esther barron

A degree in journalism set Esther on an exciting journey into the fast-paced world of news reporting. After freelancing for BBC local radio stations, Esther moved into print journalism working as a reporter for daily and weekly newspapers in Gloucestershire, including the Stroud News & Journal and the Gloucestershire Echo. As well as news articles, she also wrote arts and fashion pieces, advertising copy, business-features and in-depth interviews.

The buzz of the newsroom and the thrill of a breaking story inspired her to later become News Editor of the Wilts & Gloucestershire Standard.

Esther now works as a copywriter and proofreader and is a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP).

Away from her desk and family life she endeavours to brush up on her French conversational skills and enjoys literary gatherings with fellow book clubbers.
